Everton made a bid for the Wales international midfielder on Tuesday that was described as derisory by the Blues heirarchy.
Savage had already verbally agreed a new deal with Blues boss Steve Bruce back in May and now the club say that he has promised to put pen-to-paper on a new three year deal, plus one years option on that, later this week.
