The Swedish international midfielder declared that he had been in discussion over a possible new deal with the now departed board of directors but because of the takeover by Grandtop Holdings last month those talks had to be put on hold.

"I hope we would be able to sort something out now," he has said.

"We were discussing a contract. We weren't there, but we weren't too far away from it either.

"When the new regime were coming in, it had to be put on ice.

"That's where we stand. I'm sure they know the situation.

"I'm just waiting to see.

"It's up to them as to what they want to do. I don't know if they want to keep me or whatever."
