Seb: Transfer Talk Affected Me

The Swedish international midfielder had been the subject of a possible transfer to a Premier League side both during the January transfer window and the summer close-season.

Larsson has said that the transfer speculation had affected his form but that he is now eager to help Blues regain their Premier League ststaus.

"There was loads of speculation before the transfer window shut and at some stage it did affect me, I'm not going to lie about that," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"Maybe my focus wasn't on playing football as much as it should have been. But once it was back on football my performances became better.

"I'm not going to say I want to be back in the Championship because, again, no-one does.

"But, at the same time, I've never been unhappy at Birmingham. Ever. I came here, I got my chance and I'm grateful for that.

"You can't go back and change what happened, I'm in this situation now and you have just got to make the best of it and if I want to be in the Premiership, let's make sure I'm back there next season."
