Sonner trains with Wolves

Sonner is available as a ‘Bosman' free after his contract with Blues ran out last month and he was not offered a new deal.

He was hampered by an Achilles injury for a large part of last season and since Steve Bruce took over as manager at the club his chances of first team football all but disappeared.

Wolves assistant manager John Ward told Wolves official website: "Danny is training with us and may feature in one of the games at the weekend.

"Like the other trialists we have at the moment, he will benefit from being with us and we get to take a look at an experienced player. But there is no commitment on either side."

Sonner therefore, could turn-out for Wolves in their weekend friendly games at Morecambe and Kettering.
