Scans have revealed that the USA international defender tore a thigh muscle during Blues' 2-1 home defeat to Fulham last weekend.
However, Blues boss Lee Clark is hopeful of having fellow defender Neal Eardley and striker Lee Novak back in his squad in the not too distant future.
The pair are expected to fit in time for Blues' home fixture against Bolton on Saturday, 18th October.
