The Turks went into the second game of this Friendship and Freedom Cup two-game series in Adelaide on the back of a 3-1 win against The Socceroos in Sydney on Friday.

Stan took up his usual left wing-back position for Frank Farina's side and despite the Aussies dominating the first forty-five minutes it was the Turks who went into the break a goal for the good - Nihat Kahveci firing home a free-kick right on the stroke of half time.

Neither side managed to carve out any clear cut chances in the second period and the game, watched by a crowd of just under 29,000, was won by the Turks.

A defeat then for Lazaridis, who completed the full ninety minutes, in this his 50th appearance for the Socceroos.
