Stan's Socceroos Hit Tahiti For Nine

In a thoroughly one sided affair at The Hindmarsh Stadium on Monday, Frank Farina’s side totally outclassed their rivals.

Mile Sterjovski grabbed a second half hat trick, Millwall midfielder Tim Cahill bagged a goal in each half, and Josip Skoko, David Zdrilic, Scott Chipperfield grabbed a goal-a-piece. Tahiti defender Smith added to the Socceroos total by putting the ball in his own net right on the stroke of half time - as if they needed the help!

Lazaridis completed the first 45 minutes but with The Soceroos 3-0 to the good and totally in charge of the game he was substituted at half time.
