Grainger was forced to retire from the game at the end of last year after long term knee injuries.

His final game for the club came in a 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United on 10th April 2004 when he scored with a trademark free-kick.

He made more than 250 appearances for Blues during his eight year stay at St Andrew's and was an integral part of the Blues squad that gained promotion back to the top flight in 2002.

Kick-off at St Andrew's on Wednesday night is at 7.45pm.
