The Blues' leading goalscorer this season sustained a hamstring injury and was substituted 31 minutes into the 2-0 win against Forest at St Andrews last weekend.

Phillips has undergone scans on the injury and it has been diagnosed that he tore his hamstring which will keep him sidelined for a minimum three weeks.

"He tweaked his hamstring," Blues boss Alex McLeish told the Birmingham Mail.

"The scan revealed it was a very small tear and as such they've said it was a Grade One tear, which is two or three weeks out.

"Kevin said he's a quick healer. If he's back sooner than three weeks, it will be a plus for us."
