Sully Hoping Bruce Stays At Blues

The way Bruce has transformed Blues since taking on the managers role just over two years ago has not gone unnoticed in the football world and the Blues boss has been tipped as a successor to Sir Bobby Robson at his hometown club Newcastle Utd and also at Manchester Utd where he is still regarded highly from his playing days as skipper at Old Trafford.

Even the England job has been touted in some press articles over the past few months and Sullivan admitted that the lure of a top job like this could tempt Bruce away from St. Andrews.

"Steve is having a house built in the area and you can't be much more committed than that," he told Sky Sports News.

"But that said and done he's an ambitious man and if Sven-Goran Eriksson retired and the FA came along I've got to say you must accept it's inevitable that he would leave us for England.

"If Manchester United came along and offered him the £4.5million that Sir Alex Ferguson is reputed to earn you must accept.

"He's the former Manchester United captain and I'm sure deep down whatever he says he couldn't turn that down."
