The Blues striker has expressed a desire to leave St Andrew's having failed to command a regular first team starting role and Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy was said to be keen on the striker he introduced to the international fold whilst he was manager of the Republic of Ireland.
However, McCarthy has insisted he has no plans to make a bid for Morrison.
