Media reports on Thursday suggested that Blues had tabled an £11million bid for the Trinidad & Tobago striker but former Blues boss Bruce has denied having received any bids for the player, who he said he has no intention of selling.
"We haven't received any bids for Kenwyne," Bruce told the official Sunderland website.
"He's an important part of our team and he isn't going anywhere.
"I'm trying to build a squad that can compete here at Sunderland and I want quality players like Kenwyne Jones at the club."
