Taylor deal completed

Last updated : 08 August 2003 By Brian Cartlidge
Part of a statement on the official Fulham website, www.fulhamfc.com, reads: "Fulham Football Club can now confirm that Maik Taylor has joined Birmingham City on a one year loan deal with the option to join the Club permanently at the end of the season should Birmingham City remain in the Premiership."

The former Southampton keeper could now make his debut in Blues' last pre-season friendly against Real Mallorca at St. Andrew's on Saturday.

Taylor's signing brings Blues incoming dealings in the transfer market this close season to three following the arrivals of David Dunn and Luciano Figueroa and no more new faces are expected during the present transfer window, which closes on August 31st, although the loaning out of fringe players could continue.
