Last updated : 20 January 2004 By Brian Cartlidge

Managing Director Karren Brady, speaking on Sky Sports News about the clubs pre-tax profits of £3.3million during their first season as a Premier League club, said that although Taylor is one of a number of players that manager Steve Bruce admires it is something that Blues are 'not particularly pursuing at this time'.

Media reports over the last week were saying that after having had one bid for the former England under-20 international centre-back turned down Blues were awaiting an answer from Rovers on a second bid, believed to be £1.75 million.
