Trialist Talks To Begin

The Slovakian international striker has been on trial with Blues this week and it appears he has impressed the Blues boss.

McLeish has now revealed that talks will begin with the player and his representatives over the next few days.

“It’s come out of nowhere really. We weren’t actively looking at Novak the past couple of months or anything," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail

“It was just an opportunity to see him in training, which gives you a better idea of his quality, and we snapped it up.

“He can finish, but he can also link. What you would like from a forward is linking midfielders and defenders to the last third of the field. He’s got that kind of quality about his game and he’s been known to score a goal or two.

“He’s going to the World Cup. He’s still a relatively unknown, but he’s catching attention.

“There’s nothing been done as yet.

“He’s a player we will talk to over the next few days about what the possibilities are and we will have a chat his representatives.

“I don’t know what the way forward is regarding his contract. This was just a first look.”
