Leeds United have joined Blues in the chase to sign Arsenal central defender Matthew Upson.

Upson met with Bruce and managing director Karren Brady yesterday, had a look around Wast Hills and everything seemed set for him to sign a deal at St. Andrews today.

However, it has now been confirmed that Upson has also held talks with Leeds boss Terry Venables about a possible move to Elland Road.

Blues boss Steve Bruce is expecting a decision from Upson, one way or another, sometime today.
