1. Highlight of the season so far?

There's been so many, surely? Actually there hasn't. The 4-2 win against Newcastle was pleasing and for sheer momentary euphoria it is hard to beat Thomas Hitzlsperger's last-minute strike to steal the win against Bolton, although the oafish Lee Hendrie and Nobby Solano have both tried with sublime strikes of their own.

2. Lowlight?

The 3-0 defeat by Charlton still smarts and the performances against
Norwich, West Brom and Palace were limper than an old people's home under a Viagra ban.

3. Player of the season?

Gavin McCann and, as ever, Olof Mellberg.

4. Disappointment?

JLloyd Samuel - second only to Ashley Cole at left-back in the Premiership last season, he appears to be suffering second season blues. In his third season.

5. Hopes for the rest of the campaign?

Relegation for City. Oh, for Villa? Well, sixth is pretty good but fifth and a UEFA Cup place would be excellent. We are also long overdue a cup run.

7. Thoughts on Blues

I agree that Mario Melchiot is playing well, getting into advanced positions on the right and constantly looking to cut in. It's nice to see him outside the comfort zone of Chelsea, and City, languishing, as you are, in 15th, cannot be described as a comfort zone.

8. Players to watch out for?

Steven Davis - played two, best outfield player twice. Also, Solano has scored four in four at Villa Park and Angel is long overdue a goal.

9. Predictions for the match?

The concensus on my site is a two-goal win but i think it could be closer. 2-1.
