Vogts praise for Devlin

The German coach also admitted that Scotlands two wins in four days had made his job easier.

Vogts said: "The fans have always been great to me, but it is a little bit easier with two wins."

After a quiet first half Devlin was instrumental in the Scots victory over Canada at Easter Road, providing the cross for the third goal that sealed the victory.

Vogts commented: "We didn't start so well and maybe the speed was too high.

"We changed at the break to push Paul Devlin wider.

"His position in the first half was in the middle and that was the difference. He put a lot of crosses in after that."

Despite Vogts making five substitutions Devlin played for the full 90 minutes.
