Williams signs for Scarborough

Williams signed for Blues from Bordeaux on a free transfer in July 1999 and finally broke into Trevor Francis' side at the start of the 2000/01 season, making his first team debut in the first home game of that season against Fulham.

The Liverpool born youngster lost his place in the Blues first team after undergoing a hernia operation and when Steve Bruce took over the managers role from Francis he was released from his Blues contract.

Widely tipped to make it to the top after some excellent performances for Blues when he first made the breakthrough into the first team, Williams never really fulfilled his true potential after the hernia op but at only 22 years-of-age he still has a chance to do just that.

We wish him well during his spell at Scarborough.
