Williams suffers new injury blow

The left-back, a £350,000 signing from Peterborough in March last year, was loaned out for the season to the London club back in August.

He was stretchered off after only eight minutes of QPR's home game with Cheltenham on Tuesday night with a recurrence of an ankle ligament injury.

Williams will now have a scan but it seems certain he has a recurrence of the recently healed ligament.

Williams has only recently returned to the Rangers side after he fell over a pot-hole on a practice pitch in December and suffered a rupture of the anterior fibula ligament and a substantial tear to the calcaneo fibula ligament.
