Winter In The Middle For Villa Clash

The Cleveland official has been in charge of just one Blues game this season, that being the away fixture against Chelsea in January when both Robbie Savage and Olivier Tebily picked up yellow cards.

Mr Winters last game in charge of a game at Villa Park was on 6th January when the hosts beat Portsmouth 2-1, no yellow cards were handed out that day.

He was also the ref in charge of another three Villa games - their away game against Chelsea in September when Samuel and Delaney were yellow carded, the away fixture at Tottenham in November when Lee Hendrie received a yellow card and more recently in the away fixture at Leicester when skipper Olof Mellberg was booked.

In total Mr Winter has been in charge of 14 Premiership games this season, handing out 28 yellow cards and no reds.
