Hoddle, whilst upset that the possible signing is now out in the open, confirmed that he hopes to tie-up the free transfer of the 33-year-old Blues midfielder within the next couple of days. "I won't deny our interest but let's talk about Anderton if and when we sign him."
"We are a bit disappointed that this one got out into the open but yes Anderton is a player we are interested in," Hoddle told the official Wolves website.
"We have spoken to his representatives and to Birmingham about a (free) transfer and we hope it will go through in the next couple of days.
