Woodhouse to join Millers

Woodhouse, who captained Blues reserves in the midweek draw with West Brom, told the B'ham Evening Mail: "I went to see the gaffer and asked if I could go out on loan and he agreed it would be a good idea.

"It looks like sometime next week I will be going to Rotherham.

"I need to get some games under my belt because you can work as hard as you like in training, but if you're not playing first team football it doesn't mean much.

"If I can do well for Rotherham and it helps me come back here and get in the team, great. If that doesn't appear to be the case then I'm sure people will be watching and it could result in me looking elsewhere.

"I believe I'm in the best shape physically than I've ever been since joining Birmingham. Unfortunately, I've not been given an opportunity so it makes sense to get out for the short-term, if not the long-term."

Woodhouse will train with the Millers next week but his contract with the South Yorkshire club does not officially start until next Saturday.
