While most of Blues squad are playing in the FA Premier League Asia Cup in Malaysia, Woodhouse will train with Posh and will play in their pre-season games against Norwich City, Derby County and Charlton Athletic.

"He moved to Birmingham from Sheffield United for £1million and is a very good midfield player," Fry told the Peterborough official website.

Woodhouse spent the latter part of last season on-loan at Rotherham and although Blues boss Steve Bruce has been impressed with the midfielders attitude in training this week this latest chapter in his short career at St. Andrew's suggests he won't be playing a big part in Bruce's first-team plans this coming season.
