The 29-year-old 6ft 8in Serbian international has signed for Blues for an undisclosed fee (believed to be in the region of £6million) and has penned a four-year contract at St Andrews.
Vidic becomes Alex McLeish's third signing of the summer, the Blues boss having already brought in goalkeeper Ben Foster and midfielder Enric Valles.
