Alex Bruce made his international debut for Don Givens' side and played the full ninety minutes.

Marcos Painter also started alongside Bruce in defence and was substituted just seconds from the final whistle.

Goalkeeper Colin Doyle (currently on loan at Millwall) was used as a half time sub.

Ireland Under 21's won the game 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Bohemians striker Stephen Ward 79 minutes into the game at United Park, Drogheda.
