Republic Of Ireland: Kenny Cunningham & Clinton Morrison

Kenny Cunningham again skippered the Republic of Ireland side in their World Cup qualifier against Israel whilst Clinton Morrison was also named in the starting eleven for the game in Dublin.

Brian Kerr's side sailed into a 2-0 lead with goals from Ian Harte and Robbie Keane but the visitors fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at Lansdowne Road on Saturday evening, all the goals coming in the first half.

Both Cunningham and Morrison completed the full ninety minutes of the game.

Northern Ireland: Maik Taylor, Damien Johnson


Maik Taylor and Damien Johnson were both selected in Lawrie Sanchez's starting XI for Northern Ireland's international friendly against Germany at Windsor Park.

The visitors completely outclassed the Irish, ending up 4-1 winners in Belfast.

Taylor completed 76 minutes whilst Johnson completed the full ninety minutes.


Holland: Mario Melchiot

Blues full-back Mario Melchiot was an unused substitute for Holland in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying home win against Romania.

Arjen Robben opened the scoring for the hosts on 26 minutes and the Dutch doubled their advantage one minute into the second half through Dirk Kuyt.
