Anthony Bates Refs Coventry Match

Last updated : 02 November 2008 By Brian Cartlidge
Blues are yet to have the pleasure of the Staffordshire-based official refereeing any of their games so far this season.

The last time Mr Bates took charge of Blues match was in our League Cup tie against Leyton Orient way back on 2nd October 2002. The now departed Mat Sadler was the only Blues player booked in our 3-2 win at Brisbane Road on that night.

In total Anthony Bates has refereed in 14 games so far this season and has handed out 29 yellow cards and just the one red.

D. Unsworth and M. Brown will be Anthony Bates' assistants for the live television match at St Andrews on Monday evening.
