Man In The Middle

Blues have already had the pleasure of the Oxfordshire official refereeing one of their games this season as Mr Gallagher was the man in the middle for the 1-0 home defeat against Crystal Palace on 30th October. Defender Matty Upson was the only Blues player booked during that game.

Dermot Gallagher has not taken charge of an Arsenal fixture so far this season. The last time he did take charge of a Gunners game was in their 5-0 demolition of Leeds Utd on 16th April 2004. No players from either side were booked on that occasion.

In total Dermot Gallagher has refereed 7 Premier League games so far this season in which he as handed out just 15 yellow cards and no reds.

Mr G Brittain and Mr K Pike will be Dermot Gallaghers assistants for the game at Highbury on Saturday.
