Howard Webb Refs Ipswich Game

Last updated : 13 September 2006 By Brian Cartlidge

Neither Blues or Ipswich have had the pleasure of the South-Yorkshire based official taking charge of any of their games this season although Howard Webb did referee in two of Blues' Premiership games last season.

The last time Howard Webb refereed a Blues game was in our 1-1 away draw against Wigan on 8th April this year. Jermaine Pennant and Olivier Tebily both picked up yellow cards at the JJB Stadium on that day.

Prior to the Wigan game Howard Webb had taken charge of our 2-2 home draw with Manchester United on 28th December 2005. No Blues players were booked on that occasion.

In total Howard Webb has refereed in five League matches so far this season in which he has handed out 20 yellow cards and 2 reds.

Mr D Bryan and Mr B Sygmuta will be Howard Webb's assistants for the game at St Andrew's on Saturday afternoon.
