The last time the Leicestershire-based official refereed a Blues game was, ironically, in our final Premier League match of last season against Bolton. Lee Bowyer, Roger Johnson, Seb Larsson, James McFadden and Liam Ridgewell were all shown yellow cards in our 2-1 defeat at The Reebok Stadium on that occasion.
So far this season Kevin Friend has taken charge of just one match in which he handed out five yellow cards.
David Richardson and Andy Halliday will be Kevin Friend's assistants for the match at The Reebok on Sunday lunchtime.
