Kevin Friend Refs Bolton Wanderers Match

Blues have already had the pleasure of the Leicestershire-based official taking charge of two of their games so far this season.

The last time Kevin Friend took charge of a Blues game was in our FA Cup 3rd Round replay against Nottingham Forest on 12th January. Lee Bowyer and Barry Ferguson were the two Blues player booked in our 1-0 win at St Andrews on that occasion.

Prior to the Forest game Mr Friend had been the referee in charge of our Premier League away game against Burnley on 3rd October 2009 when Stephen Carr, Scott Dann and Barry Ferguson were all booked in our 2-1 defeat at Turf Moor.

In total Kevin Friend has taken charge of 33 games so far this serason in which he has handed out 126 yellow cards and 7 reds.

Ron Ganfield and Nigel Bannister will be Kevin Friend's assistants for the match at The Reebok Stadium on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 4pm).
