Mark Clattenburg In The Middle For Spurs Clash

The 29-year-old Newcastle-upon-Tyne official is beginning his first season as a Premiership referee having been promoted onto the select list for the first time during the close season.

So far this season Mr Clattenburg has officiated in just one Premier League fixture, that being the Crystal Palace v Everton game at Selhurst Park last weekend. Emmerson Boyce of Palace picked up a yellow card in that game whilst Evertons Gary Naysmith saw red for two bookable offences.

Mr Clattenburg has also refereed one Coca Cola Championship game season. Former Blues full-back Jeff Kenna seeing yellow in the Leeds v Derby game on 7th August.

The two assistants at White Hart Lane will be Mr. R East and Mr. P Norman.
