Mark Clattenburg Refs Villa Game

Last updated : 14 April 2008 By Brian Cartlidge

Blues have already had the pleasure of the Tyne & Wear-based official refereeing three of their games so far this season.

The last time Mark Clattenburg refereed a Blues game was in our 1-1 away draw against West Ham on 9th February. Camerone Jerome, Damien Johnson, Fabrice Muamba, Maik Taylor and GarY McSheffrey were all booked at Upton park on that occasion.

He had also taken charge of the 1-1 home draw with Fulham when no Blues players were booked and also the 2-1 away defeat to Blackburn when Cameron Jerome was the only Blues player to pick up a caution.

In total Mark Clattenberg has taken charge of 32 games so far this season in which he has handed out 111 yellow cards and 10 reds.

D Bryan and P Sharp will be Mark Clattenburg's assistants for the game at Villa Park on Sunday lunchtime.
