Mark Halsey Refs Wolves Game

Last updated : 13 November 2006 By Brian Cartlidge

Neither Blues or Wolves have had the pleasure of the Lancashire-based official refereeing any of their games so far this season although Mark Halsey did take charge of three Blues' fixtures last season.

The last time Mark Halsey refereed a Blues game was in our 0-0 away draw against Everton on 22nd April this year. Nicky Butt, Kenny Cunningham, Mario Melchiot and Mat Sadler were all shown a yellow card at Goodison Park during that game.

Prior to the Everton match, Mark Halsey had taken charge of our 3-1 League Cup home defeat to Manchester Utd on 20th December 2005. Damien Johnson was the only Blues player booked during that game.

He had also taken charge of our 1-0 home League defeat to Charlton Athletic back on 10th September 2005. No Blues players were booked at St Andrew's on that occasion.

In total, Mark Halsey has taken charge of 13 games so far this season in which he has handed out 40 yellow cards but just 1 red.

Mr A Halliday and Mr R West will be Mark Hlaseys assistants for the game at St Andrew's on Saturday lunchtime.
