Martin Atkinson Refs Man City Game

Blues have not had the pleasure of the West Yorkshire official refereeing any of their Premier League games so far this season although he has refereed one game involving Manchester City.

The Man City game that Martin Atkinson took charge of was in their 2-2 away draw against Crystal Palace back on 2nd September 2004. City pair Sylvan Distin and Antoine Sibierski both picked up yellow cards at Selhurst Park on that occasion.

Atkinson, who is in his first season has as one of the select group of referees, has taken charge of just two Premier League games so far this season in which he has handed out a total of 6 yellow cards and no reds.

Mr S Dorr and Mr D Bryan will be Martin Atkinson's assistants for the game at Eastlands on Wednesday evening.
