Martin Atkinson Refs Norwich Game

Last updated : 24 October 2005 By Brian Cartlidge

The West Yorkshire based official is yet to referee a Blues fixture this season but he did take charge of one of our Premier League fixtures last season - that being in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at Eastlands on 20th April 2005 when the now departed Clinton Morrison was the only player booked for Blues.

The last Norwich game that Mr Atkinson officiated in was for their 1-0 home win against Charlton on 23rd April 2005. Thomas Helveg the only Canaries player booked on that occasion.

So far this season Martin Atkinson has taken charge of 10 League and Cup games in which he has handed out 24 yellow cards and 1 red.

Mr R East and Mr J Flynn will be Martin Atkinson's assistants for the game at St Andrew's on Wednesday evening.
