Blues have already had the pleasure of the South Yorkshire official refereeing one of their games this season as Mr Atkinson was the man in the middle for our 2-1 Carling Cup 3rd Round win against Norwich City at St Andrew's on 26th October. No players from either side were booked that night.

Martin Atkinson has also taken charge of one West Ham's fixture this season. He was the referee in charge of the Hammers 1-1 Premier League away draw against Sunderland on 1st October. Yossi Benayoun, Danny Gabbidon, Paul Konchesky, Shaun Newton and Nigel Reo-Coker were all booked for the Hammers on that occasion.

In total Martin Atkinson has taken charge of 15 League and Cup games so far this season in which he has handed out 36 yellow cards and 1 red.

Mr N Bannister and Mr A Butler will be Martin Atkinson's assistants for the game at St Andrew's on Monday evening.
