Blues did have the pleasure of the Kent-based official refereeing one of their games last season as Phil Crossley was the man in the middle for our Football League Championship away fixture against Sheffield Wednesday on 31st January. Defenders Martin Taylor and David Murphy both received a yellow card during the 1-1 draw at Hillsborough on that occasion.
So far this season Phil Crossley has taken charge of five games in which he has handed out 20 yellow cards and 2 reds.
K Johnson and S P Rubery will be Phil Crossley's assistants for the Carling Cup Second Round tie at St Mary's on Tuesday evening.
