Blues are yet to have the pleasure of the Staffordshire-based official refereeing any of their games so far this season.

The last time Phil Dowd refereed a Blues game was in our 1-1 away draw against Arsenal in a Premier League game on 12th January this year. Liam Ridgewell and the now departed Olivier Kapo picked up yellow cards at The Emirates Stadium on that occasion.

In total Phil Dowd has taken charge of 14 games so far this season in which he has handed out 40 yellow cards and 3 reds.

A. Halliday and N. Bannister will be Phil Dowd's assistants for the game at The City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
