Steve Bennett Refs Man City Game

Blues have already had the pleasure of the Orpington-based official refereeing one of their Premier League games this season whilst Steve Bennett has also taken charge of one of Man City's league games this season.

The last time Steve Bennett refereed a Blues game was in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool at St Andrew's on 24th September. Neil Kilkenny saw red that day whilst Kenny Cunningham and Jamie Clapham picked up yellow cards.

The last Man City game that Mr Bennett took charge of was in their local derby game against Manchester United on 10th September. Andy Cole, Danny Mills, Claudio Reyna and Ben Thatcher were all booked in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

In total, Steve Bennett has taken charge of 15 English League and Cup games this season in which he has handed out a massive 59 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Mr P Kirkup and Mr J Tattan will be Steve Bennett's assistants for the live television game at Eastlands on Saturday evening.
