Uriah Rennie In The Middle For Charlton Clash

Last updated : 22 October 2004 By Brian Cartlidge

Mr Rennie took charge of three Blues fixtures last season, the last of which was the 5-3 away defeat at Middlesbrough on 20th March. No Blues players were booked on that day.

The South Yorkshire official had before that game refereed our 1-0 FA Cup 4th round tie against Wimbledon at St Andrew's on 24th January, defender Darren Purse booked on that occasion, and the 2-1 home win against Manchester City on Boxing Day when Matty Upson and Robbie Savage picked up yellow cards.

Mr Rennie took charge of just one Charlton fixture last season, that being in their 3-2 home win against Blackburn Rovers on 21st February when no player from either side was cautioned.

So far this season Uriah Rennie has officiated in two Premiership games, Villa v Southampton on 14th August and Bolton v Liverpool on 29th August. Two yellow cards were shown in these fixtures, both to Bolton players.

Mr. G Atkins and Mr. N Bannister will be Mr Rennie's assistants at St Andrew's this weekend.
