After a goalless first forty five minutes at St Andrew's it was the visitors that took the lead on 62 minutes courtesy of a 25-yard free-kick effort from John Welsh that gave Benno no chance in the Blues goal.

Two minutes after the Reds goal however Keith Bertschins side were level through Asa Hall.

Striker Dean Curtis scored the winner just three minutes from time to send Blues back to the top of the Barclays Premiership Reserves League North table.

Jamie Clapham completed the full ninety minutes but Mat Sadler was a late withdrawal for the Blues side.
