After a goalless first forty-five minutes Keith Bertschins side went a goal down two minutes into the second period when Wanderers Spanish striker Javi Moreno opened the scoring for the home side.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 68th minute when Stelios scored after Blues keeper Colin Doyle could only parry a shot from Moreno into the path of the Greece international striker who had the simple task of tapping the ball into an empty net.
