Player Ratings: Middlesbrough (a)

Last updated : 05 March 2006 By Sean

Taylor - Little to do again.

Melchiot - Got caught too far upfield time and time again.

Bruce
- Gives his all but he's not good enough at Premier League level.

Taylor - Played well.

Gray - Not difficult I know, but better than in recent games.

Pennant - Once again, got better as the game went on.

Butt - A couple of stray passes but overall probably our best player.

Kilkenny - Very poor.

Johnson - Needs some new shooting boots!

Heskey - Isolated admittedly but still poor. Should have scored.

Dunn - Glimpses of his old self but surprisingly substituted with more than half-an-hour to go!

Subs:

Campbell
(for Dunn, 56) - Failed to convince me so far.

Jarosik (for Kilkenny, 58) - Should have started the game in my opinion. Tried to make things happen.

Forssell (for Johnson, 78) - Not on long enough to cause a threat.

Subs not used: Vaesen, Tebily.
