Player Ratings: Tottenham (h)

Last updated : 19 March 2006 By Brian Cartlidge

Maik Taylor - Some hesitancy again but little chance with either goal.

Melchiot - Was doing well up until dreadful error that led to first goal.

Cunningham
- May lack pace but he did bring some organisation back to the defence.

Martin Taylor - Some timely tackles but some poor distribution.

Clapham - So-So.

Pennant - Blues' biggest threat as is usual.

Butt - Worked hard and looked the most likely to get on the end of set piece balls into the box.

Johnson - Workmanlike as always.

Lazaridis - Had a quiet game.

Heskey - Tried his best but he isn't scoring goals and that's what we need.

DJ Campbell - His first start I know but on the evidence so far I can't see him proving to be a goalscoring success.

Subs:

Forssell
(for Heskey, 57) - At least he managed a shot or two at goal!

Kilkenny (for Lazaridis, 81) - The game was effectively over when he was introduced.

Subs not used: Vaesen, Tebily, Clemence.
