Blues Player Ratings

Taylor
- Better than last week.

Melchiot - Not his best display, but adequate.

Clapham - Clearly needs games to get up to speed but gave a better balance to the side.

Cunningham - A tad disappointing again, and may struggle this season.

Upson - Better than some of his displays lately but still not back to his best.

Johnson - A real mixed bag - some fine moments, and some woeful distribution.

Gronkjaer - A threat to Bolton, and hard work rewarded with good assist for the goal.

Savage - Seemed to lose his head a bit in the first half and was subdued in the second.

Clemence - Very good performance, with some excellent ball-winning and some good moments going forwards.

Izzet - Certainly better, and seemed to enjoy the more attacking role.

Heskey - Not at his best offensively, but hard work can't be faulted.

SUBS:
Dunn - A few flashes of ability but didn't really have the time.

Gray - Only on for moments, but perhaps could have won it?
