Blues Player Ratings

Taylor
- Quiet afternoon and then dropped an absolute howler.

Melchiot - Assured as ever.

Gray - Good all-round performance, especially late on against tired legs.

Upson - Fairly steady if not spectacular.

Cunningham - Nowhere near his best.

Johnson - Usual self until silly sending off.

Gronkjaer - Saw plenty of the ball and wasn't too wasteful. Perhaps just needs a goal or an assist for confidence.

Savage - Not at his best, but even so, a welcome return.

Izzet - Very poor.

Morrison - Tried fairly hard but just not quite good enough.

Heskey - Good performance again but needs help.

SUBS:
Dunn - Even when clearly not fit, by far the most influential player.

Yorke - Good all-round play and a good goal too.
