Player Ratings

Taylor - Did ok in general.

Melchiot - One mistake but otherwise very solid.

Clapham - Quiet but effective.

Upson - Eased through the first half and coped ok in the second.

Cunningham - Gave as good as he got against Drogba.

Pennant - Still re-finding his feet (despite the bloody great tag on the one of them...)

Carter - Disappointing but in unfamiliar role.

Nafti - Excellent all-round display.

Johnson - His usual tenacious self against good opposition.

Pandiani - In and out of the game but fine finish.

Heskey - Gave Terry a real headache.

SUBS:
Lazaridis - Provided useful respite as an outlet at times.

Gray - Needs to work harder and show some guts.

Morrison - Only a cameo role.

SUBS NOT USED: Vaesen, Blake.
