Player Ratings v Fulham

Last updated : 04 April 2004 By Richard Barker

Maik Taylor - Some fine first half saves against his former colleagues.

Martin Taylor - Reasonably steady game for the most part.

Grainger - Was doing fine until injury forced him off, and thankfully it's a knock he can shake off rather than any long-term setback.

Cunningham - Looked close to being back to his best, and timing seemed to have returned.

Upson - Same as Cunningham, and the clean sheet speaks volumes for the two centre halves.

Johnson - His usual tenacious self, and grew as an attacking force late on.

Lazaridis - Quiet as a left winger, and did ok as left back, but couldn't have the offensive impact.

Savage - Not at his best, but adequate. Perhaps his arguments with footballing legends took its toll.

Hughes - As with much of the team, adequate, but no more. Faded when he moved to the left.

Forssell - Possibly feeling the effects of his back injury, but still looked dangerous in flashes.

Morrison - Usual self, hard working and not much else in all honesty.

SUBS:

Clemence - Unlucky not to have started the game. Gave his usual workmanlike performance after first half introduction.

John - Not sure if he'd done something to upset Mike Riley, but was unable to challenge for the ball without having a foul given against him.

Clapham - Very brief appearance, but at least he's back.

Subs Not Used: Bennett, Tebily.
